So, you’ve been to a couple of CUS conferences, some of them even more than once.  Strolling through Angus, you easily identify that purple as Styles’, that flame logo as Ignite’s, and that very familiar navy blue schematic as Enterprize’s—you’ve memorized it all.  They’re amazing conferences and all (no denying that!) and yes, you did have fun, but they’re just not hitting the spot anymore. You’re bored.

That’s why you came to this site, right? You came to ExCo looking for the solution: to aim higher and to diversify your experiences.  My name is Carolyn Khoo and chairing this year for ExCo, I’m here to find new opportunities and spread the word of the many conferences that await your attendance outside of UBC in the most captivating ways, possible.   Enjoy!

My name is Ansley Wong and I am the VP Finance for this year.  With great anticipation, I am with both excitement and confidence that the ExCo team this year will provide students with an experience like no other. One of the main reasons why I joined ExCo is because of the opportunities that it serves. I believe that ExCo provides a unique experience that allows students to not only broaden their social network with professionals from around the world, but also aspire interest for the various options available at Sauder. I strongly encourage those who seek for direction with regards to option choices to attend the conferences as it would be a major asset; likewise, I challenge those who have selected their options to attend and further enhance their knowledge. Part of my main goal this year is to provide a seamless experience for all students. I am responsible for facilitating the budgeting process to ensure the success of each conference. In terms of the conferences, I especially look forward to the Harvard’s Social Enterprise Conference because social enterprising is something that interests me. You will have lots of fun with ExCo, just remember to sign up for the conferences that most interest you!

Hey everyone, my name is Aaron and I’m a third year Sauder student studying Marketing and TLog. I decided to get involved with ExCo at first because it sounded like an awesome club to be part of (I mean, 50% reimbursements to conferences outside of Vancouver. What more can you ask for!?) Anyways, I’m the Finance and Media Assistant this year and I look forward to bringing you all a series of really exciting video shorts to promote the vision of ExCo to all you Sauder kids. By the way, if you haven’t already checked out our Yellow Fever campaign – do it now. Chances are, you may just come away with one of our “gigantic pill-shaped body pillows, each the size of a small child”. Yes. You heard me right. Then what are you waiting for?!?

Hi everyone, I’m Kenneth and am very excited to be part of the Exco team of 2011 – 2012!  I’m a fourth year student studying in Accounting and International Business and this year I’m taking on the VP Internal and VP Recruitment position. My role is to interview people to see if they are eligible to go on external conferences and also to deal with internal affairs in Exco.  I have been on external conferences throughout my years at Sauder and this year I’m involved in Exco because I want to help promote the club to fellow Sauderites. I expect to promote the awareness of Exco this year and to bring more different conferences to for students to go to.   The conference that I look most forward to would be the Harvard Asia Conference that happens at the start of April.  I have an interest in doing business in Asia in the future and I believe this conference would give me inspiration for my future endeavours.
